How to Manage your Social Media Marketing and Advertising during a Pandemic
Here’s 7 ways to re focus your social media marketing and advertising right now.
Restrategise
March is a natural time to plan ahead for the next Quarter anyway - but now it's even more important to step away from the noise and re strategise your social media marketing.
What were you going to sell which is not appropriate right now? Or could it be framed differently?
Think about the launches you have coming up - do they need to target a different market or look slightly different?
Can you package up your offering in a different way which offers brilliant value right now?
Build your audiences
People WILL spend again ... so gather pockets of people so you can market to them when they're ready.
How?
Continue your visibility online - now is not the time to shrink away. Make sure you’re showing up on Instagram Stories / IGTV - people will remember how you responded during this time.
Test running Traffic, Engagement or Video Views Facebook/Instagram Advertising campaigns to build up audiences you’ll be about to retarget at a later date. Use blogs, videos or lead magnets to bring people into your sphere.
Diversify your marketing by using a different platform like Pinterest to reach and build a new audience.
Work on your content
If you find yourself with more time on your hands, use it to create valuable content.
Have you been meaning to write that list of blog topics?
Or create your Pin templates and get used to working with Tailwind to scheudle your Pins so that when it gets busy again (and it will!) you;re all set up and in a rhythm.
Do those things you've been meaning to do
For me, it's going to be creating an email sequence so that when people sign up to hear more from me - they actually hear more from me!!!
Now is a good time to re-think your Instagram marketing - Could you refresh your Instagram profile, have a look at some new hashtags, organise that Live to help grow your audience?
Test your messaging to check what resonates with your potential client/customer at the moment

Keep calm and focused on your Business Goals
This is going to be a marathon not a sprint so don't panic.
If someone launches before you it will not be the end of your business.
You hold value and what's amazing about small businesses is we're all unique, so do it your way and do it differently. something ahead of you, or for free - don’t go into panic mode.
You are worth so much and have so much to offer so don't start offering everything for free or at a reduced cost.
